Help Wanted: Want To Be A Food Writer? Can You Write About Food Without Using The Word "Delicious"?

Want to be a food writer? Think you can write witty, pithy posts for this blog? L.A. Weekly's food blog (the very blog you're reading now) is seeking qualified freelance food writers. Must know the L.A. food scene, be able to write intelligently about it, come up with creative pitches and supply photographs to accompany your posts. Do you love to write about food? Can you do it without using the word "delicious"?

While not necessary, being on Twitter is helpful. Very necessary: a palate and a sense of humor. Interested? Send cover letter and writing samples to laweeklyfood@gmail.com. No relentless first-person prose (you have your own food blog for that). No "smackdown," no "luscious" (unless it's with heavy irony), no "bounty." No bullshit.
