Chances are many blog-induced fantasies will be realized this Saturday at Eat My Blog, a bakesale organized by food bloggers Cathy Danh and Laurie Moore to raise funds for the L.A. Regional Food Bank. Featuring the work of 40 food bloggers, including Eat. Sip. Chew., Ravenous Couple, Teenage Glutster and Mattatouille, the bake sale is a chance for bloggers to take their recipes off the page. "Eat My Blog developed out of the frustration I felt while reading food blogs--I wanted to taste what I was seeing rather than drool on my keyboard," says Danh, who will be making rosemary apricot bars for Saturday's sale. "Having a blogger potluck would have satisfied my desires, but I wanted to create an event that would truly give back to the community." The sale runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday, on the patio at Zeke's Smokehouse in West Hollywood. Stock up boutique desserts and meet your favorite food bloggers--many will be working shifts at the sale. We also advise bringing a pair of sunglasses to protect yourself from all the digital camera flashes.
