Italian Chef Disappears From Cruise Ship: No Michelin Stars Involved

The FBI has been called in to investigate the disappearance of an Italian chef who went missing from a cruise ship en route from Aruba to Cartagena, Columbia. The ship docked yesterday in Los Angeles. 31-year-old Angelo Faliva was last seen on the morning of November 26th on the deck of the Princess Cruises' Coral Princess. According to Faliva's family members, who were in Los Angeles to board the ship, the chef left the galley while working the dinner shift the night before he disappeared and never returned. Princess Cruises reported that a life preserver was missing. Falvia's family suspects foul play, as the chef was not suicidal. Falvia, who has worked for Princess Cruises since 2006, is a sous chef in the ship's Italian restaurant Sabatini's. There are no Michelin stars involved. In 2003, French chef Bernard Loiseau committed suicide at the prospect of losing one of his three Michelin stars.
