For Monsters & Artists: The 'Where The Wild Things Are' Gingerbread House. Or Not A House.

Via @Atlantic_Food ("you might need an engineering degree for this one"), we found this post from the Australian blog A Table For Two: a gingerbread house based on the recent Spike Jonze' film Where the Wild Things Are. It's not really a house, but a recreation of the house-cave from the movie. A nest, an ad hoc dwelling, a jigsaw sculpture, who knows. But it's stunning, as imaginative as the movie--and thus the Maurice Sendak book--it pays homage to. Check out the remarkable photography on the blog, which is by Sydney foodblogger Billy Law. The post also provides instructions for making your own Wild Thing creation. If you don't have a Cal Tech degree, maybe you've spent a lot of time at LACMA recently, contemplating the Richard Serra. Which might help, might not.
