What Would Martha Do: Martha Stewart Launches an iPhone App

You knew it was only a matter of time before Martha Stewart launched an iPhone app. And so she has. Last week Martha Stewart's Everyday Food App launched on iTunes. Because if you can have an app for both The White House and Plants vs. Zombies on your phone, you kind of need Martha to balance the whole thing out.

The new app allows you to access thousands of recipes from Stewart's Everyday Food magazine, and to share, save and organize those recipes into mobile shopping lists. Of course. Did you really think Stewart would have an app that you couldn't organize? You can also get a daily alert from Martha with a new dinner recipe idea, which could be inspirational or deeply depressing, depending on your frame of mind.

Today is also the release date for Stewart's latest book, Everyday Food: Fresh Flavor Fast, out in paperback from Clarkson Potter. It is Stewart's 70th book. If you feel like a bit of an underachiever, do not spend any time looking over Stewart's vast and impossibly varied resume. Just go make today's cookie of the day (February 23 is maple-pecan shortbread) and consider that some people just operate at a different speed than the rest of us.

Stewart's app costs $0.99 from the App Store, or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
