America's Top Bartender Is Now Tending Bar At the Edison
America's Top Bartender will now be mixing his Absolut cocktails at The Edison. The downtown bar named Joe Brooke their new director of spirits, replacing Aidan Demarest, who left the post for the as-yet-unopened First & Hope. Other than winning America's Top Bartender, a contest sponsored by Absolut and carrying a cash prize of $100,000, Brooke has most recently been mixing drinks with Vincenzo Marianello at Copa d'Oro. Prior to that gig, Brooke spent two years at Bar Marmont.

Look for Brooke to be at the next Radio Room event, on Tuesday, February 23rd, with Brian Miller (NYC's Death & Co.) and Erick Castro (San Francisco's Rickhouse Bar). In a bit of an ironic twist, Brooke had been scheduled for next week's Radio Room before he was hired. Now he's got a much shorter commute.
