While these days it seems so many food vendors can't resist the call of the road, some just want to settle down. Finally after much anticipation, Cafecito Organico opened its real, glass and aluminum doors that are attached to an actual building yesterday.

At the corner of Hoover and Bellevue, in a simple yet distinctive structure wedged onto one of those quirky lots that fall along the original Pueblo de Los Angeles western boundary, Angel Orozco and Mitch Hale have started serving their organic and various-certified specialty brews and shots pulled from a Nuova Simonelli.

The fair and direct trade and small lot beans are being roasted at a different facility off-site. They'll stock baked goods and snacks from local sources, and eventually offer a few items made on-site as well. Indoor seating isn't set up yet, but you can hang out and enjoy the crisp air on the patio, which these days is clean enough that you might forget that the 101 is a few blocks away.

Silver Lake and Hollywood Farmers' Market shoppers can rest assured that Cafecito Organico will maintain its presence at their usual weekend outdoor stations. The cafe's Tuesday through Saturday hours are limited until 3:00 p.m. for the time being, until April when Orozco and Hale hope to stay open until 6:00 p.m. for those much-needed late afternoon coffee hits.

Cafecito Organico: 534 N. Hoover St., Los Angeles; (323) 666-1950.
