The Vendy Awards Come To L.A., Honoring Top Street Food
Ladies and gentlemen, start your food trucks.
Most Angelenos haven't heard of them, but The Vendy Awards are something of a big deal in New York, awarding the city's top street food vendors. This year, for the first time, they're coming to Los Angeles. The fundraiser/cook-off will take place Saturday, May 15th from 4pm-7pm in MacArthur Park, after the street vendor conference, which will be held at UCLA on May 14th and 15th.
Tickets are on-sale now for $50, with proceeds going to organizations in support of street vendor rights. Finalists for the award are based on reader nominations, so get cracking.
