David Beckham's Personal World Cup: Pot Noodles
David Beckham, the English soccer star, LA Galaxy midfielder and friend of Gordon Ramsay, may not be playing in next month's highly anticipated FIFA World Cup -- he ruptured his achilles in March -- but he'll be honored with a cup of his very own on the occasion. A cup of noodles, actually.
British noodle giant Pot Noodles will be honoring the soccer star and reported noodle fan with his very own flavor: Golden (Meat)Balls. For the uninitiated, Beckham's nickname is Goldenballs, a name that was apparently bestowed upon him by his wife. The thoughtful people at Pot Noodle have sent a crate of the new noodles to Beckham in Los Angeles, where he's at home recovering from his injury. Something to snack on while he watches the tournament on television, perhaps. I'm sure it will make him feel much better.
