The Lee Strasberg Diet: Just Eat McDonald's Every Day

From the Toronto Sun (via Food News Journal) we have today's installment of the Lee Strasberg Diet. It turns out that actor Dennis Quaid, to gain the requisite weight to get the part of Bill Clinton for an upcoming movie, decided to eat like the former president did in order to put it on in the first place. For his role as Clinton in the forthcoming The Special Relationship, in which Michael Sheen plays former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Quaid says he ate junk food every day until he put enough weight. "I could have worn a suit to enhance my weight but I didn't want to go that route. I did it the way he (Clinton) did. I went to McDonald's every day." The man gets points for verisimilitude, and for making Brillat-Savarin's oft-quoted maxim, "tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are," apply to casting directors.
