This LA Weekly Flickr pool photo comes to you courtesy of photographer Lucyrk in LA, who took the shot of on her Canon PowerShot. While it's not technically a food-related shot, it is curiously fascinating. And it reminds some of us of our restaurant matchbook collections, grown dusty now that most eateries in Los Angeles are smoke-free environments. A personal favorite: a matchbook from Arnold Schwarzenegger's late, possibly lamented Schatzi on Main (now the site of Josiah Citrin's Caché), which had not the restaurant's name embossed upon it but the American flag. Of course it did.
