Maps are cool. Maps generated by geography academics are very cool. And maps generated by geography academics which show the relative density of pizza to guns to strip clubs are just flat out brilliant. Which is what this map, by Floating Sheep, a site run by three geography academics and dedicated to mapping and analyzing user generated Google Map placemarks, is. The red dots designate more relative pizza, the green dots more guns, and the yellow dots more strip clubs. (Consider Las Vegas.) Note that this map reflects data collected in August of 2008, which is the same month that John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate. You do the math.
