A Clu to Royal/T's Tron Menu

Lightcycle Salad (left) and Identity Disk Cake (right) from Royal/T's Tron-inspired menu.

Royal/T changes identities more often than Madonna, but where she's turned into a Kabbalah cultist with impressive and terrifying monkey strength, the hyphenate Japanese maid café/gallery/store has seamlessly morphed from Hello Kitty hub to Andy Warhol shrine.

Beginning tomorrow, November 19th, and running through December 23rd, Royal/T transforms into something a little less kawaii and a lot more nerdy: a Tron pop-up with merchandise, art and even food that ties into the Disney sequel.

The Tron-inspired menu includes three savories (a sushi roll, a salad and a burger), a cocktail, a dessert and a "Tron legacy high tea" ($25).

The flavor combinations are dubiously related to the movie. We doubt Flynn's Arcade ever served a blue crab roll with creamed wasabi ($8), but if you squint hard enough, that husk of endive tucked between half-moons of citrus ($8) does resemble an edible lightcycle. We don't, however, recommend flinging around the white chocolate lava cake ($6) like it's an identity disk.

*NOTE: For one month Royal/T will become Culver City's hub for all things Tron, but if you want to see Flynn's Arcade, head to nearby Akasha, which served as the arcade's location in the original movie.
