[Update: We're told that the event is (unsurprisingly) full, but those who RSVP will be added to the waiting list.]

Spanish chefs José Andrés, Ferran Adrià and Juan Mari Arzak will pop up in Los Angeles for what's being billed as "a discussion on innovations in food and technology."

The event, which occurs at 5:30 p.m. on January 3rd at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, is free and open to the public but attendees must RSVP by emailing SLS.

Andrés, who recently launched a Twitter tiff with our own Jonathan Gold re: "molecular gastronomy," just opened two new restaurants at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas: Jaleo and China Poblano.

Adriá, after some celebrated dithering, confirmed that he was, in fact, closing El Bulli, his celebrated, 3-star Michelin restaurant, frequently judged one of, if not the best restaurant in the world.

One of the progenitors of "New Basque" cuisine, Arzak transformed his grandparents' tavern, Arzak in San Sebastian, into a bastion of avant-garde cooking in Spain.
