23-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead, 23-Year-Old Woman Charged after DUI Collision near Oak Drive

NEVADA COUNTY, CA (May 2, 2024)Kasey Patrick died Sunday morning, and Isabella Christmon was arrested after a DUI collision on Highway 49 and Oak Drive. The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m., on April 28th. Christmon was behind the wheel of a 2016 Volkswagen Passat when she lost control negotiating a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the highway. The car collided with several oak trees before tumbling down a steep hillside, finally coming to a halt approximately 45 feet from the road. Kasey Patrick, a 23-year-old from Nevada and Christmon’s passenger, lost their life due to injuries sustained in the crash. Emergency services transported 23-year-old Christmon, who sustained severe injuries, to the hospital. Subsequently, she faced DUI charges. Further details regarding the DUI incident have not been disclosed at this time. Additional information will be provided once available.
