CSI: NY Blows Up a Food Truck

The food truck business is booming... literally. (Yes, we sometimes borrow our ledes from TV voiceovers.) In "Food For Thought," tonight's episode of CSI: NY, "the team enters the competitive world of gourmet food trucks when one explodes at a SoHo food festival."
The plot details? Camille tricks Hawkes (Hill Harper), who's disgusted by the concept of rolling food vendors, into tasting a fry from the fictional World On Wheels truck. He's surprised by how good they taste. As they're walking away, the truck explodes, killing its operator, Derby. The investigation into his murder reveals the sordid underbelly of the food truck business.
Suspects include a hot dog cart owner who says World On Wheels was stealing his business by parking illegally and a chef who fired Derby after discovering his plans to launch a food truck. The episode airs tonight at 9 p.m. on CBS.
