Groundlings Fundraiser Tonight at True Food Kitchen
Try not to laugh so hard you squirt soda out of your nose. Actually, it promises to be a very adult evening at tonight's fundraiser for The Groundlings, the iconic LA improv troupe that launched tons of comedic talent: Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Phil Hartman, fried pie-loving Kathy Griffin, Will Forte, Chris Parnell, Cheryl Hines, Kristen Wiig, Jon Lovitz, Pat Morita, Jennifer Coolidge, Phil LaMarr, Mindy Sterling, Jim Rash and the lady in the Progressive Auto Insurance commercials.
It costs $50 per person and goes down tonight at the newly opened healthyish True Food Kitchen in Santa Monica. Reservations should be made for seating between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Call 323-934-4747 x42. Profits from this fundraiser will be used toward upgrades and improvements to the Groundlings Theater on Melrose.
