Best Craft Beer Bar in Greater Los Angeles: Beachwood BBQ and Brewing
Twenty-four guest beers rotate. Julian Shrago brews 12 excellent in-house beers and charges less for these beers because there's no shipping. Beachwood BBQ recently hosted its annual Sourfest with a list so extensive that some beer geeks took vacation days so as not to miss any gems.

Owner/chef Gabe Gordon puts on beer pairing dinners with brewers who are the best in the area, like tonight's 4th Annual Molecular Gastronomy Dinner featuring the beers of The Bruery, the brewer we called the best between Santa Rosa and San Diego.
From managers to bartenders to servers, Beachwood staff know their beer. But there is no we're smarter than you snobbishness like we find at places that don't serve ketchup. You won't find a joint with more knowledgeable beer fans lined up at the bar next to you. The bar conversations give it the edge in ambiance over any competitor.

Gordon also designed the "flux capacitator" line system so that each beer is served at its optimal temperature and his lines are always clean so the beer is fresh. A "hopcam" tells you online or via phone app what beers are available 24/7. Beachwood BBQ and Brewing sets the benchmark that all other beer bars in LA measure themselves against. Period.
As for tonight's premier L.A. Beer Week event, the 4th Annual Molecular Gastronomy Dinner, it's sold out. You may want to consider RSVP'ing to next year's dinner today. It's that good.
Our Best of L.A. issue is now out; this is one of over 400 pieces in this year's issue. Check it out.
