Boilermakers Make a Comeback

Boilermakers aint exactly known for their class, but the Beer Chicks hope to imbue the traditional working man's gut-churner -- a bracing shot of whiskey followed by a can of cheap bar -- with high style. Tonight at Seven Grand from 7 to 9 p.m., they launch their 7/8 Boiler Makers, pairing complex whiskeys with equally complex craft beers. If you like the combos, you can pop over to the recently opened 8th Street Bottle Shop inside the Golden Gopher and pick them up to take home. Oh, show us the way to the next whiskey bar.
