C-CAP Stuffing Contest: Thanksgiving For the Future

If we're to believe Back to the Future Part II, by 2015 we'll have flying cars. By that logic, maybe we'll also have Thanksgiving stuffing that automatically stuffs itself into an available turkey. We'll have to see what the student chefs come up with in Careers through Culinary Arts Program's Traditional Holiday Dishes for the Future competition.

Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) is a non-profit that works with public schools to prepare underserved high school students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

While it's unlikely they'll be able to engineer it with special powers, for this competition, teams of high school culinary students are working hard to put a new, "futuristic" spin on your average dish of stuffing. The big culinary square off takes place today, November 21 at the International Culinary Arts Institute in North Hollywood.

Judges for this event include Aaron Robins of the Boneyard Bistro, Tim McGrath of Cooksgathering, and Howard Pearlstein from Mrs. Cubbison's Kitchen. The winning recipes will appear on MrsCubbisons.com, ThanksgivingTips.com, as well as C-CAP's website and newsletter, and on Facebook.
