Update: December 2, 2011. 2:15 p.m. The ColLAboration event scheduled at Golden Road Brewing tomorrow has been cancelled due to power outages at the brewery resulting from the high winds. ColLAboration Winter Wonderland will be rescheduled in 2012. The event organizers are sorry for the late notice, but have just been alerted that the event location is not a safe space without power. All glasses purchased on site at ColLAboration bars (38 Degrees, Blue Palms, Mohawk Bend, Surly Goat, Tony's Darts Away and Verdugo Bar)may be returned and refunded at anytime, or may be saved and used at the rescheduled event. Additionally, all paypal purchases will be automatically refunded within the week. The organizers thank you for your understanding and support.

Nothing catapults you into the holiday spirit like finely crafted holiday beer. So the fearsome foursome of Clay Harding (38 Degrees), Brian Lenzo (Blue Palms), Ryan Sweeney (Surly Goat and Verdugo) and Tony Yanow (Golden Road Brewing, Mohawk Bend and Tony's Darts Away) who brought us the ColLAboration pop-up beer gardens this past summer are presenting Winter Wonderland, a veritable cornucopia of dark beers from America's finest brewers.

The event will take place at Golden Road Brewing, Saturday Dec. 3 from noon to 5:00 p.m. and feature kegs of liquid gems such as The Bruery's Melange #3 and holiday craft beer standards like Deschutes Jubelale, which is currently ranked #6 on Beer Advocate's list of the Top 50 "Winter Warmer" beers, and Anchor Christmas Ale, which is ranked #9.

Sierra Nevada Celebration, Dogfish Head Chicory Stout, Lagunitas Sucks, and Ommegang Adoration will be tapped along with surprise kegs from Founder's, Firestone, Lost Abbey, Eagle Rock, Port Brewing, Russian River, Beachwood Brewing and too many others to name.

Last but not least, the host of the event, Golden Road Brewing will unveil two seasonals, Schwartz Stout on nitro and Rye on the Palate, a holiday red ale. Brewmaster Jon Carpenter will give tours of L.A.'s newest brewery.

You can order a collector stein glass that serves as your admission ticket online here and they offer several package deals on the "beer coins" with which you will purchase the holiday brews. Or you could go bold and just show up at the door, but beware if the beer event of the month sells out before you get there. Note: If you have a collector glass from one of this year's events, you can get in with that but next year will be all new "membership glasses."

Ha, I just readĀ  Retsinis and Edwards comments .Ā  Are you kidding?Ā  $10 for an annual membership and then beers at better prices than at any bars in the city is a steal.Ā  I buy a new glass every time just because I like collecting them and $10 or $15 each is a great deal for nice souvenir glasses.

@Ajxu - $10 may be a fair annual price, but the reason some of us are upset is because glasses for early ColLAboration events were EXPLICITLY sold as being good for admission to ALL future CoLAboration events (not merely until the end of the year).Ā  I have way too many beer glasses from various events already, and I have no interest in owning another superfluous souvenir glass.

I Love ColLAboration!Ā  Been to three of them and all were fantastic.Ā  Can't wait for Saturday.

It's very disappointing that you can't get into future ColLAborations. I hope they reconsider.

Guess their falseĀ advertisment of "All future CoLAborations" really meant, 'This years" as far as the glasses being your admitance ticket.

I would have liked to read this article but, ads (with no way to close them) were blocking it.
