Short Order Opens + Here's The Menu
Short Order, the most anticipated burger restaurant since the dawn of time, will finally open tonight at 5 p.m. The burger joint fronted by Nancy Silverton, Bill Chait and the late Amy Pressman held a splashy opening party last night. Starting tonight, you can walk into the eatery, located next to Du-Par's in the Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax. (Lunch starts next week; late night service, a couple weeks.) Or you can live vicariously through the menu, which is after the jump.
Guzzle & Nosh Short Order at the Original Farmers Market.
The two-tier menu features four basic burgers including a classic version ($12) made with grass-fed beef, Morbier cheese, grilled mushrooms, bibb lettuce and mayostard; a throwback burger with cheddar, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and pickles ($11); and a bacon, avocado and Comté burger ($13). There's even a turkey burger ($12). Upstairs, you'll find five fancier and more expensive burgers including lamb, pork, tuna and a "frisée lardon raft" ($14-17).
Burgers aside, we're most excited to try the breakfast Cobb salad for weekend brunch, which they won't begin serving until January.
