What do Steve Jobs, Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Chew have in common? They'll each be recognized during the next annual Taste Awards. Contrary to the name, the award ceremony, held January's 3rd in Hollywood, honors not just food but style and home lifestyle programming in television, movies, radio and online.

Among 20 already determined honorees, Jobs will posthumously receive an award for "Outstanding Inspiration," while Kung Fu Panda will be honored for "Outstanding Animation" and The Chew as "Tastemaker of the Year." The Council of Media Tastemakers votes on another 20 categories, including "Best Food Programs," "Best City or Regional Program" and "Best Chef in a Series."

Alton Brown's now-defunct Food Network program Good Eats is up for best TV food program and so is badass Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations (Travel Channel).

The Taste Awards (a.k.a. the Tasty Awards), also gives power to the people. Seven categories fall under the Viewers Choice Awards, where fans can vote online for things like their favorite comedy series and best film or documentary.
