30 Sandwiches in 30 Days: the map
Be it burgers, ice cream or sandwiches, no 30 Days series would be complete without a map. Here's the handy Google map for 30 Sandwiches in 30 Days.

A few highlights: The Farmer at Daily Dose, open-faced turkey at Pann's, pastrami at Mezze, porcetto at Sotto and The Toron at Baco Mercat. (Chronological list of sandwiches and the map itself after the jump.)

Only one in the Valley?  Seriously?  Every time I decide to give this magazine another chance, I am quickly reminded that the LA Weekly doesn't care about 1/3 of the population of this city.

Click here for Anne Fishbein's slide show. It would be thrilling if provincialism were the main problem with the LA Weekly. That can be fixed. I'm more concerned about the many shallow reviews and, especially, the inane, high-school-level discussions of socially relevant topics, the meek, anti-intellectual acceptance of "locovorism," and the ludicrous duplication of articles every week (e.g., JGold writes something and someone writes that JGold has written something and published it 1/4" across the page).
