Foursquare Knows Where You Were on Valentine's Day

Where were you on Valentine's Day? Did you go out? Did you stay home? Hit up a bar? While many of us were gorging on sushi or checking out the amazing Lauryn Hill concert, others were partying it up at the Key Club, or following our advice and getting "romantical" at LudoBites.

For those of you who use Foursquare -- the smartphone game that lets you check in to venues for points, bragging rights and the occasional cool deal -- we already know where you were.

Since you love sharing your whereabouts, we figure it's OK to tell. According to Foursquare, the top five most checked-in-to restaurants in Los Angeles on Valentine's Day were all over town and hit all price points. They were, in descending order, Artisan House, Ikemen, Spitz, The Bazaar by Jose Andres and Versailles. As dedicated users of the app, we were honestly expecting a fast-food place to rank higher. Nice to see we were wrong.

Those are all pretty and lovely places, and ramen is for sure our idea of an aphrodisiac, but we don't want to ponder the wooing properties of a döner kebab. They are delicious, though.

And now, as the Foursquare Mayor (for now) of "Historical Site" R.I.P. Biggie, we will leave you with a quote from the man himself: "The best part of the day is my half feedin' me breakfast and giving me a sponge bath."

Now that sounds like a romantic holiday.
