What's the country reading today food-wise? Here's a roundup of some of the food-related stories from other newspapers, many of which print their food sections mid-week. Just remember that spilling your macchiato over your keyboard is a lot more expensive than spilling it across newsprint.

In the Los Angeles Times, Russ Parsons gets creative with citrus; the rise of YouTube food videos; and checking out Chilenazo in Canoga Park.

At The New York Times, Eric Asimov considers the Douro red wines of Portugal; getting your kids to be your sous-chefs; and Pete Wells on doughnuts and drumsticks.

Making a taco bar for the Super Bowl; and the joys of winter citrus, at the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Denver Post looks at the new age of (bartender, mixology, etc.) ice cubes; and a recipe for Eli Manning's lace cookies (not kidding).

Super Bowl party strategies, from The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Making meatballs for the Super Bowl; and a salsa tasting, at Chicago Tribune.

7 tips for dining out without taking home extra calories, from the Charlotte Observer (via the Detroit Free Press).

And -- are we sensing a theme here?? -- yet more Super Bowl recipes, from The Washington Post.
