Planet Dailies and Mixology101 Open at the Grove
A Las Vegas-born concept, Mixology101 soft opened in the Original Farmers Market on March 8 and officially opens to the public on Monday, March 12. Mixologist Salvatore Calabrese and bartender Joseph Brooke (still trying to decipher the difference between the two titles) grind fruits, pour fancy liquor and shake it like a Polaroid picture. Across from Mixology101 there's Planet Dailies (same concept as the 24-hour Vegas cafe of the same name in Planet Hollywood) with menu offerings such as sliders, saffron chicken, sweet and sour pork, Tex Mex egg rolls, fish tacos, pastas, pizzas, and an assortment of desserts. Expect the same strong drinks -- with fewer bikini-clad waitresses and more farmers market class.
