626 Night Market: Coming Back in July With 200 Vendors
The 626 Night Market is making a quicker comeback than expected. Just three months after its inaugural event, the Asian street food market will be back on Saturday, July 28, from 4 to 11:30 p.m. According to event organizers, this next round will once again be held in Pasadena, but this time at the Centennial Square in front of Pasadena City Hall. "There will be three times more food vendors with a lot more variety," organizer Jonny Hwang says.

Admission is still free to the public. The key differences: This time, the venue is four times larger, with an area of 250,000 square feet across six blocks. To accommodate attendees, public and private parking lots usually closed on Saturdays will be opened. There will be more than 10,000 parking spaces available in the nearby vicinity. Also, prepaid parking will be available online through the event website. And Night Market will feature three times the number of food vendors, with a total of 200 vendors comprised of local businesses and entrepreneurs.
According to the press release, "The first 626 Night Market in April attracted an enormously overwhelming crowd that far exceeded expectations and provided several challenges that will be addressed in this second event. The organizers have considered the public's feedback and are improving all aspects of operations and the overall experience."
As for the monstrous traffic, the organizers are working with the City of Pasadena to provide incentives for attendees who utilize alternate transportation methods, including the nearby Metro Gold Line and buses.
