Bourdain on location
If you had any last lingering doubts that Anthony Bourdain has conquered the world, this morning's news should put an end to them. CNN announced this morning that Bourdain will join the network as a weekend anchor. The host of No Reservations, writer of mystery novels, kitchen tell-alls and the occasional Treme episode, comic book author, Ecco editor and sometime chef will create "a signature showcase for the network's coverage of food and travel." The show will debut in early 2013, scheduled to air on Sundays in prime time with repeat airings on Saturday nights.

The still-untitled show will "offer commentary on other CNN programs and platforms, domestically and internationally, providing insights into current events and debates around food and health and other cultural conversations," according to CNN's Press Room. The show, which is produced by Zero Point Zero Production, the producer of the Bourdain shows No Reservations and The Layover, will be shot on location. You imagined Tony in a suit sitting next to Anderson Cooper? No.
