Tickets have just sold out for this Saturday's 3rd Annual L.A. Craft Beer Crawl. With unlimited tastings of over 70 brews, 2,000 people in attendance, and temperatures finally retreating to the low 80's, it promises to be L.A.'s most lively celebration of beer yet. The creative product of Cedd Moses, Proprietor of 213 Ventures and general drum major in the march to revitalize L.A.'s drinking culture, and Beer Chicks Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune, this year's event does an especially good job of uniting local brewers.

From 3 - 7 p.m. (or beginning at the 1 p.m. early admission), sample the wares of such local favorites as: Beachwood BBQ, Brouwerij West, Craftsman, Ladyface, Monkish and Strand, along with national gems Allagash, Ommegang, Green Flash, and Hangar 24, and of course dozens more. Outposts Broadway Bar, Cana Rum Bar, Casey's, Cole's, Golden Gopher, Las Perlas, and Seven Grand are hosting.

Four seminars are being offered at this year's event, wisely scheduled toward the beginning of the day. Check out Beer Chicks Picks in the Jackelope Room of 7 Grand at 3 p.m. to find out which breweries are in attendance at LACBC and which favorite selections track down. At 4 p.m. in the same location Beer Chicks will be joined by a Highland Park Brand Ambassador to guide you through Whiskey and Beer. Also at 3 p.m. in the back room of Casey's, Dave Watrous "The Gueuzehound" will break down the wondrous world of wild fermentation in Brewers Gone Sour. Visit Casey's at 4 p.m. for a lesson called Viva la Birra Italiana with writer Tomm Carroll on the current craft beer renaissance in Italy -- who knew? Seminars available for $15 each.

In addition to imbibing and education, a fleet of L.A. food trucks will be available to satisfy your maw. Look for LudoBites, Nom Nom, Lomo Arigato, and even In-N-Out to stabilize the booze. This is not an event at which spittoons will allow you to pace yourself. Make a game plan upon arrival so you can sample the most anticipated beers first. By the end of the day your palate will be scrambled, your liver probably beginning to fail, and any remaining resources will be so depleted that you can only fall into the generous arms of your DD or Metro Operator.

The event has just sold out, but seminars are still available for purchase to those in possession of an Early or General Admission ticket. Check-in begins at your designated time at Casey's Irish Pub. Bring your ticket and a valid I.D. to receive a wristband, map, and 6-ounce tasting glass. And of course a moment for PSA -- don't forget to thank your cab, bus, or designated driver. See you Saturday.
