The Undercover Vegetarian: L&E Oyster Bar

L&E Oyster Bar, which is the subject of this week's restaurant review, is a seafood joint, and as such, it's a pescatarian's paradise. There's very little meat on the menu -- bacon in the clam chowder, chorizo on some toast, one lone steak sandwich. The rest is all fish and shellfish.

But for the strict vegetarian, there is practically nothing to eat here, and certainly not enough to make a meal of unless you consider salad and fries a meal (I have to say, I know quite a few vegetarians who do subsist mainly on fries, so there you go).

The upside? That salad, the watermelon in particular, is blatantly awesome, and should be required eating for any fruit enthusiast. And the fries are pretty damn good as well.

In general, this might work as a place to have a drink and a bite. But don't go there hungry if fish isn't part of your diet.

What are fish made out of if not meat? Broccoli? Come on! Fish have flesh and bones, brains and eyeballs, just like dogs, cats, pigs and people. All animals. All made from meat. Not vegetarian.

@MattRice Learn to read before you comment.  Besides, I thought vagitarians are less aggressive since they don't eat meat.  Chill out and take another bite of that broccoli, douche.
