Demitasse Expands to Santa Monica

This just in -- one of our favorite coffeehouses, Demitasse, is expanding to Santa Monica. The new location will be at 1149 Third St., just north of Wilshire. An opening date has not yet been set.

Since the August 2011 opening of the original location in Little Tokyo, Demitasse has had us smitten. With its Kyoto-style iced coffee. With its drinking chocolate. When they decided to roast their own beans. So it's a very exciting development to see them expand westward.
There aren't many details yet on the new location, but they have revealed that they'll be brewing on an Alpha Dominche "Steampunk" machine. Sounds fun.
