What Your Favorite Restaurant Says About You
We all have our favorite things that, implicitly or otherwise, reveal a little bit of ourselves. Thus it makes sense that Fraulein Maria would love whiskers on kittens and bright copper kettles, and that Oprah would have many, many favorite things. Which brings us to restaurants that you may consider a favorite place to eat, and what that choice may indicate about your personality. For fun (mostly), we made a few guesses. Turn the page.
Anne Fishbein Alma
G. Snyder Pizza at Gjelina
You have a certain amount of style and, possibly, substance, or at least enough of both so that Abbot Kinney feels like home. Depending on your gender, your high school fragrance of choice was either Gap's Heaven or Tommy Hilfiger's Tommy. You have strong feelings about the season finale of Girls, and your favorite Muppet is Miss Piggy.
Gjelina Take Away
You have enough substance, but maybe not enough style, to feel at home on Abbot Kinney; no matter, as you usually have only enough time on your staycations to grab a bite before exploring the rest of Venice. You never wore fragrances in high school, and you still prefer not to. You have strong feelings about the series finale of Battlestar Galactica, and your favorite Muppet is Gonzo.
Anne Fishbein The Hart and The Hunter
The Hart and The Hunter
You love Wes Anderson films, have every Belle & Sebastian album and there's a good chance you own a straw hat, worn exactly once for a Mark Twain-themed wedding. When you Instagram photos of the restaurant's excellent biscuits or lemon ice-box pie, you'll use the Earlybird filter, and your photo caption will contain hashtags that, two years ago, would have been sentences (i.e., #itfeelslikemoonrisekingdominhere).
A. Scattergood The patio at Lucques
One of the best nights you had in the last five years was seeing Carole King and James Taylor from your box seats at the Hollywood Bowl; indeed, as you discovered when your kid took you to dinner at Bestia, you have reached a point in your life when the loudest musical act you can tolerate is Mumford & Sons. This is due to the fact that you are an adult and know how to hold a conversation with another adult.
B. Hansen Pizza at Maximiliano
Once, not too long ago, your favorite restaurant might have been The Hart and The Hunter. Now, though, you are in your post-hipster phase and have settled down with your long-term partner in Highland Park. Together, you have one or two young children, a stray-lovingly turned-pet cat and a Dyson.
A. Scattergood Red O
You have never been inside a T.J. Maxx, don't trust taco trucks and loved The Blind Side.
