The Hamster Shredder: Damn, It Feels Good To Be A Hamster

Happy Tuesday, guys. I present you herewith: The Hamster Shredder, prototype version Mark 2. The earlier version, the Mark 1, did not come with a spinning wire hamster wheel. This later one does. Hopefully, the Mark 3 will be a cross-cut shredder. You never know who is out there with time on their hands and a whole lot of Scotch tape, just waiting to read your secret documents.

The shredding action is powered by the hamster. The paper drops down and lines the floor. It is breathtaking.

But where does the hamster go?
The Mark 2, designed by Tom Ballhatchet, who works somewhere in the UK.

You still have to load the paper your self. The mach 3 should have a steady paper supply so the system is fully automatic.

I think its an interesting school project for the guy. Maybe when there is a shred day at work you can bring your pet hamster to work? For more industrial paper shredders, I would recommend Fellowes.

I love it! Who would want to try and tape back together a hamster-soiled nest of paper. One just can't have too much that would need shredding, or I guess you might have to have a whole stable of hamsters.
