It's incredibly difficult to avoid being sucked into the cult of The Venture Bros. From its overt homage to Johnny Quest and comic book culture to its subtle references to post-punk music to JG Thirlwell's driving score, the Adult Swim show is a witty commentary on geek culture.

For those who haven't seen the show, The Venture Bros. centers around twins Hank and Dean Venture, their mad scientist father, Dr. Thaddeus Venture and bodyguard Brock Samson as they battle against various villains, most notably The Monarch and his companion Dr. Girlfriend, best known for looking like Jacqueline Kennedy and has the voice of an 80-year-old with a five pack a day cigarette habit.

Last weekend at Comic-Con, we had the chance to interview and photograph the masterminds behind the weird and wild Team Venture, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. The duo not only writes the series, but voices several of the major characters. Publick handles Hank Venture and The Monarch while Hammer is known for Dr. Girlfriend, Henchman #21 and Master Billy Quizboy.

Thank you for finally recognizing the crazy genius of the guys behind The Venture Brothers. My boyfriend and I are their age, and we appreciate all the random song lyrics and references from our childhoods. "Are you reciting Jesse's Girl" made me nearly fall off the couch laughing. Anything you can do to increase their visibility will make them and their hugely clever show more popular. "I bought a ticket to the world..."

In complete honesty, The Venture Bros. is hands down the funniest, most ingenious cartoon, nay show, on television. Period. End of story. Doc and Jackson are true artists and I can only hope that Season 4 will bring them and the show even more exposure.

The show literally has everything a person would want to see in an adult-themed, comedic cartoon. Not the stupid dick and fart jokes (well, maybe a couple well placed ones) or underlying political crap ala South Park nor the lack of character development and borderline autistic continuity found in Family Guy... it is really in a league all it's own. Nothing touches it stylistically.

The show is well-balanced and uber creative, my favorite aspects being the range of characters and what each brings to the show. From major roles like Doc and Brock all the way down to tertiary characters, a couple of my favorites being White Noise and Hunter Gathers, Doc and Jackson compound the show's humor ten-fold through the numerous yet always unique cast members. Sh!t, they even manage to make a non-vocal robot H.E.L.P.e.R. a hilarious part of the series (one of my all-time favorite scenes: Brock arguing with him about Led Zeppelin lyrics being about "pain and longing" while driving in Adrian followed by an especially long retort of beeps which Brock reveals is a Maya Angelou poem... so classic).

I can say over the years, I have been an avid fan of numerous television shows, but TVB, animated or not, is the only series where I have thoroughly enjoyed every single episode. Maybe this has to do with the long production times and lower budgets they have to work with, or perhaps they are just true savants, but their process ensures every installment is a fu**ing treasure.

I totally relate to the pop culture references as being sharp and witty. Brock telling Hank to call The Cleaner about the "Damian Hurst" they have in the motel, Iggy Pop betraying the Sovereign and telling Limb he's a "street walking cheetah with a heart full of napalm".

Anyway, sorry to babble. Awesome show gentlemen (even my 58 yeard old father loves it), you should be very proud of the work you are doing. I can't wait until the new episodes drops or, even better, when a major picks it up because of its brilliance and gets you guys PAID.
