Claremont Folk Festival

Get the folk out of the city on Saturday and mosey on over to Clarmont (just a few miles past the Glass House in Pomona) for the 28th Annual Claremont Folk Music Festival, held at Sycamore Elementary School. Sounds boring, right?

WRONG.

A full day of art and music performances (Da Lion, The BladeRunners, Yuval Ron, Joel Rafael and Squeakin' Wheels) and workshops (drum making, flatpicking guitar and more) to benefit The Dorothy and Charles Chase Folk Music and Culture Education Fund (FMCEF). WAKE UP!

The night is capped off by a concert by Claremont local Ben Harper, Silverlake legend Jackson Browne and Blues legend Taj Mahal. Yea, I thought that might perk your attention. When was the last time you saw those three men on the same stage? Its bound to be a great night.

There will also be a raffle for a Martin Guitar and a Michael Thiele "Blessed to be a Witness" Tongue drum signed by Ben Harper.

General admission tickets are $50 available at the wesbite and kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. There are also daytime only passes are available for purchase at the Folk Music Center for $25. But the day passes do not include entrance to th evening headlining performances.
