Last Monday Sky Sunlight Saxon, founder of the legendary LA garage rock band The Seeds, was hospitalized in Austin, Texas. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remains in critical condition. According to a press release, Saxon's illness is undiagnosed.

Sabrina Saxon, Sky's wife and business manager, has been keeping friends and fans updated from the hospital via Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. In her most recent MySpace blog entry, she wrote:

"Sky has improved a little today ... I say that but I also want to stress that he is seriously ill and is heavily sedated. He is not responsive when being talked to so I'm not sure if he hears or not. He is still in danger. I am playing his music for him."

Sabrina goes on to further detail his condition, noting that he will begin temporary dialysis, and encourages people to show their support by sending cards and balloons to his hospital room. The address and other information can also be found on The Seeds' blog.

Sky Saxon latest album, Back to the Garden, came out last year. He continues to play live frequently and has an East Coast tour scheduled for later this summer. To view more video clips of his work, follow the jump.
