New Thavius Beck Album Arrives Three Months Early (MP3)

Even if you haven't heard of Thavius Beck, you've probably run into him or his work. In fact, used to be you couldn't enter Amoeba's rap aisle without physically running into the natural-sporting, facially pierced producer/emcee. But when he wasn't stocking hip-hop at the record store, Thavius was self-releasing music under the name Adlib and making beats for the GSL debut of his Amoeba Hollywood co-worker, Subtitle.

Thavius has since produced for Busdriver and Saul Williams, remixed Nine Inch Nails, collaborated with The Mars Volta's Cedric Bixler-Zavala, and become a Low End Theory staple. And now, he's got a great new album, called Dialogue, coming out on Mush Records.

Here's the single: Thavius Beck - Go! (MP3)

Thing is, the officially U.S. release isn't until January 26, but Mush's U.K. outlet Big Dada (a subsidiary of Ninja Tune) has already put out the record, to a growing set of positive reviews. So what's a stateside label to do? Well, Mush has decided to make Dialogue available digitally now (for $7.00). Which means nearly three additional months of your life can be spent with these songs. You'll find the album here, and the single here (featuring Flying Lotus' remix of "Away").

So does this mean Dialogue falls under the "Best of 2009" category, or 2010?
