Pablove to Throw Benefit Show in Honor of Founder's Cross-Country Ride: Tom Morello, BRMC, Others Confirmed

Back in September we announced the then-pending cross-country bike trek of Dangerbird co-owner Jeff Castelaz, riding from the far end of Florida to our own Hollywood Hills in 30 days to raise money for The Pablove Foundation. Castelaz founded that non-profit in honor of his late 6-year-old son -- Pablo Thrailkill Castelaz, who succumbed to cancer in June -- with hopes of improving the lives of similarly afflicted children. Castelaz's ride began on October 10, and it's taken him to some very interesting places thus far.

Here he is riding with Lance Armstrong, a personal hero of Pablo's, in Austin.

Castelaz has also stopped off at children's hospitals along the way, spreading love and support wherever possible. His journey comes to an end at the Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills on November 21, where Pablo is buried (see full itinerary here). And now there'll be a benefit concert to mark the occasion.

On the same night, Pablove is throwing a party at the Avalon, featuring "acoustic and semi-acoustic" performances by Tom Morello (The Nightwatchman), Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Shirley Manson, Butch Walker, Tom Grabel (of Against Me!), Jarrod Gorbel (of The Honorary Title) and Charlotte Martin, plus more to be announced. Tickets went on sale over the weekend at $35 a pop for general admission and $65 for VIP.
