The Playlist Names Their Top Soundtracks of the Decade

There is no better place to learn about the comings and goings of the soundtrack world than the estimable website The Playlist. Their news and opinions on all things film score and soundtrack-related set the conversation, draw lines in the sand, etc. So when they offer their list of Best Soundtracks of the Decade, we pay attention.

We've got a few beefs, yes.

We'd say that the soundtrack to Harmony Korine's Mr. Lonely deserves a spot for sure, and Rushmore should be on there instead of The Royal Tenenbaums. Paranoid Park is one of the best, too. And no Juno?? (We could go on and on.)

But you can't argue with a list that places the amazing soundtrack to Morvern Callar in the top five, and that recommends the collection from City of God.
