Is it that time already?

Yes, for the 89th time, it is. The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association just announced the line-up for the 2010 Hollywood Bowl season, and despite its age, the outdoor beauty will stage a few firsts: Gustavo Dudamel's first Bowl subscription concerts as music director, and Herbie Hancock's debut as the Bowl's new creative chair for jazz. Add to that a host of Bowl-friendly, KCRW-approved international artists, including Senegalese singer and guitarist Baba Maal, British electro-pop chanteuse Goldfrapp, legendary Jamaican roots reggae singer Jimmy Cliff, LA polyglots Ozomatli, and the big beat electronic riffage of the Chemical Brothers. You may as well just invest in a few cases of wine right now, because you'll end up swigging through it under the stars.
