Languis' "Higher Hell"
L.A.'s unsung heroes of dream-pop, Languis, have just released a brand new, completely free album. All 11 tracks of Higher Hell are able to be downloaded at the group's Bandcamp site.

For the uninitiated, Languis is Alejandro Cohen and Marcos Chloca, two schoolmates from Buenos Aires who moved to L.A. in 1996.

By singing, strumming, synthing and drumming, they've recorded at least nine albums that run the gamut from shoegaze to vintage psych-pop to jangly folk to sound collage.

Truth be told, Higher Hell dabbles in a little of each of those all on its own. West Coast Sound's pick of the litter (which we've made available as a solo stream/download) is "Shinning," a glorious little piece of downer-pop perfect for anyone currently wrestling with the Hump Day blues. Dig it.
