In early April, we introduced you to a new monthly free music series from the Vosotros camp (see also Learning Music) in collaboration with local label Sargent Records.
Sargent Singles, Vol. 2
The second pair of songs released under the Sargent Singles name comes from North Carolina troubadour Benji Hughes and local folk-ish outfit Willoughby, respectively.
Neither has released new music since 2008, so these free tracks offer a glimpse into what should be a solid couple of sophomore releases, hopefully due out in 2010.
Willoughby plays Silverlake Lounge on Wednesday before embarking on a West Coast jaunt opening for Band of Horses.
Hughes may actually be a Sasquatch.
