Incredibly Strange Picture of Cat Power Reading to Kids
No, not this picture on the right.
US Dept. of Education Cat Power, like ODB, is for the children
That's just your average Dept. of Education photo op celebrating the fact that they got "national musical recording artist Cat Power" (as opposed to "spoken word recording artist"?) to read Shel Silverstein to a bunch of little kids in DC. The picture was taken moments before an aide whispered in Cat Power's ear that we were under terrorist attack. Not really.
However, there is another incredibly strange picture from the same event/photo op. You just gotta see it. It has US government officials wearing bizarre boots, Cat Power (looking like Posh Spice playing a secretary in a porno) and a woman who for some reason appears to be terrified at the whole scene.
