STP postpone tour
Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland wears his troubles with alcohol and drug addiction on his sleeves. But on Sunday night in Houston, Weiland's "odd" behavior on stage, rumored late arrival to the show and confession that he was drinking once again may have led to the band postponing 12 dates on their tour. The band's official statement says that the band is "re-routing" their tour and taking a "short break," and will "resume in mid-October in Florida."

During his rant, Weiland revealed his troubles: "The 8th of December will be the time when I stopped doing dope. I started drinking again. My brother died, I got divorced to my wife, and my whole world basically spun around. So you know what? I'm going to take care of myself because that's what I need to take care of. Instead of just having a few shows, I want to have a whole hell of a lot of shows."

As of now, STP's late October dates in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles are still on.

This tour has been particularly challenging for STP openers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club who dealt with the death of singer Robert Been's father, BRMC sound tech and former The Call frontman Michael Been last month.
