Whew. Cat-astrophe averted.

​Holy crap, the Chilean miners are all out of that hole. Sweet Jesus, we thought they'd never make it out of that terrifying experience alive, but as of yesterday, the miners have been firing out of that hole in a device vaguely resembling Bill and Ted's phone booth. We're totally glad too. Miners everywhere are unthanked (often exploited/ impoverished) laborers who risk their lives on a daily basis so we can get useless shit like gold or diamonds (yeah, yeah, we know Chile's copper mining industry is one of the most lucrative in the world and the backbone of their economy).

So, let's face it. It's a motherhuggin' miracle that those guys got out of there (thanks to a well-executed response from Chile's government).

So we've been thinking. What would you do for a friend who just went through a totally shitty-ass day? You'd make 'em a funny mixtape, right? We wanted to do the same for these brave Chilenos. Of course, there's a long and really interesting history of coal mining songs in America, documenting the hardships of miners, but those aren't very funny are they? We're pretty sure what the miners need right now is an unceasing flow of pisco sours, piles of completo hot dogs, and a good laugh.
