Ok, today the fickle world of pop can't talk about anything other than the just-released video for "Whip My Hair," the hyper-hyped single by one Willow Smith, best known as "the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith" (even arbiter of Twitter culture ?uestlove is a fan).

We saw it. It's ok. The song is not terrible--it's kind of good and a little catchy.
But something was nagging us while we were watching it:
While the "I whip my hair back and forth" refrain sounds childlike, the verses sound like they're sung by a professional 20something singer.
Why does Will Smith's 9-year-old daughter sound like a grown-ass woman? Is there an AutoTune setting we don't know about that adds 15 years to your age and makes you sound like Nicki Minaj's jaded aunt?
