I am back from Africa. That was a long haul. From Entebbe, Uganda to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and then onto Dubai. From Dubai, the amazing near-sixteen-hour flight back to Los Angeles. That was last Friday.
My jet lag has been severe. I am out of gas around nine pm and then up and at it around four and one half hours after midnight...

(continued)...Next week, Tuesday the 14th to be exact, a special I worked on for the National Geographic called Born To Rage will air on the National Geographic Channel at 10 pm. That being the case, I have been doing a lot of press for the show. Not exactly what I want to do after thirteen months of tour and travel but all the people I have been dealing with have been extremely cool and make it all relatively painless.
The other night, I was invited to check out a screening of Carrie Fisher's new HBO one woman show called Wishful Drinking. I don't get out all that much so I went to check it out. It was excellent. She is hilarious and brilliant. I can't wait to see it again. She came out afterwards and did a brief chat with a man whose name I didn't get and, even answering the questions, she was incredibly funny. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds was there as well and to hear the two of them exchange comments post show was really cool. I'm no critic but I definitely recommend Wishful Drinking. Ms. Fisher wrote the whole thing, too. Damn impressive.
The last several days have been a bit strange. I wake up in the darkness and stagger into the day.
