New Video: Flying Lotus "Zodiac Shit" (Plus Awesome NSFW Vince Collins Inside)
From Adult Swim: new video by Atlanta's bloody-eyed Lilifuchs for for Flying Lotus' "Zodiac Shit" off Cosmogramma, apparently heavily influenced by screen-melting '70s animator Vince Collins.
Adult Swim was an early adopter and supporter of Lotus--you'll remember those beats from the between-show bumpers back in the day--and if you were extra-sharp, you would have spotted a pre-release version of Cosmogramma's ultimate "Galaxy In Janaki" in an Adult Swim-y YouTube at the beginning of the year. So it's nice to see they've connected with him again for the extremely fluid visual experiment above.
Lilifuch's here is very reminiscent of Collins, whose signature style was just this sort of pre-digital image-to-image morphing. Collins had a varied career--he was contracted for the patriodelic bicentennial video below and then delved into darker themes for his own work. Vince vids of varying degrees of NSFW-ness below.
