Wavves Associate Jeans Wilder Releases New Video, Makes Vintage Naked Ladies Dance for Him (NSFW)

A dancing lady from Jeans Wilder's "Sparkler" video. Ooh la la.
We dig Jeans Wilder. The San Diego one-man beach-pop/noise band has a helluva knack for hauntingly beautiful soundscapes that speak to the foamy glory of the surf as much as to the watery death that lurks underneath.

(If you missed the OxyContin-inspired WCS debut, "Sea You," get on that ASAP.)

All things considered, it's not surprising that Mr. Wilder, a.k.a. Andrew Caddick, used to be in Fantastic Magic with Nathan Williams of Wavves. Jeans has also split a 7-inch with Best Coast, though good luck finding a copy. His debut LP, Nice Trash, is out this week via French labels La Station Radar and Atelier Ciseaux.

Jeans collaborated with film collagist Stephanie Wuertz to make a lovely video for his song "Sparkler," and as the excellent Altered Zones put it, "This track drapes over you like a grungy, crumpled counterpart to 'Earth Angel.'"

Our friends at FMLY shared this brand new song, "Blanket Mountain," on Friday (no download, sorry). Jeans jacks Glasser's "Apply" drums on this one, though all that really means is that he too used Apple's GarageBand program to compose.
